This should’ve been major news. But these days we are more inclined to take a pill than make changes in our lifestyles. We have become lazy and we hope drugs will solve our ailments. No wonder new developments in the pharmaceutical world would be covered more by the news than the benefits of exercise.

So here is this study from 2007. It looked at the effects of resistance training on elderly people (avg 70) and a group of younger people (avg 26). Evidently, both groups increased their strength. The interesting factor is that the seniors went from being 59% weaker to being only 38% weaker. The seniors were progressing faster.
Also, they reported an improvement in the seniors’ genes. Some of their genes that had been kind of dormant were working more like the younger genes.
This goes to show that your condition is not a life sentence, doesn’t matter your age. Is it time you get to work?
