Finally, I beat my time on the Table Row. It took a lot of effort. And I realized that I forgot one important aspect of my training plan: breaks. Not like breaks in between sets, but time with no training. Sometimes the body needs a little extra time to better recover. So, I will train next week, which will be week 9 and take week 10 off. Don’t underestimate the value off taking time away from training. Especially if you have hit a plateau. A week off may be the best strategy to bring new strength.
And here are today’s results
1-arm push up = 0:35
1-leg squat = 0:59
Table Row = 1:25
One more thing; I have been reading this book called “The science and practice of strength training” and I found that a stretch muscle creates more tension. In the Push up and Squat, the muscles are in a stretch position. But in the Table Row, they are short. This is worth investigating.
