Most people don’t know how to maximize their workout time. What you have to do is find exercises that involve as many muscles as possible. The more muscles you work, the more calories you burn. And more oxygen is required. Thus improving your cardio fitness, etc…
So as an example, choose push ups over triceps extensions. You will still work the back of your arms. And at the same time you will engage the front part of your shoulders and pectoral muscles. And your abdominals will need to be activated too. It gives you a bigger bang for your buck.
I so agree with that. I was able to greatly improve my cardio by working out big muscle groups in a circuit training. Helps me tremendously in sports where you have to stop & go constantly. Gilles Beaudin? That sounds really French :)
