My no equipment home workout: Week 12

Last week went ok. These exercises are a good challenge. And it feels like I am just at the limit. It is getting harder to gain time, even 1 second. Anyway, as long as you can measure a progression, it is going in the right direction.

                                                            Nov 21                                Nov 23
1-arm table row hold                              0:31                                    0:35
1-arm push up                               R= 0:39, L= 9 reps            R= 0:40, L= 10 reps
Air born lunge hold                                 0:19                                    0:23

What is difficult to do with isometrics is to maintain the position. It is easy to shift a little to make it easier. But you want to use the same position so you have an accurate measure. And the goal is to work your muscles to their maximum. Cheating is not worth it if it takes tension off the muscles you want to work.

Remember that hypertrophy is a result of the time under tension. And by holding the position at its weak point, you get the highest tension for that exercise. Just make it work in your favor. And keep in mind that you are training your body, not draining it.

Please feel free to leave a comment because we can all learn from one another. And I would like to hear about your success.
