3 steps to great abs

I’m getting sick of newspaper and magazine articles that tell you that working just your mid-section can give you washboard abs. You cannot spot reduce. If it was the case you would see a lot of people doing neck crunches for their double chins.

1) Proper nutrition
You have to set your body for fat burn with the food you eat. What you decide to put in your mouth will determine if you will burn fat or store fat. Every time you eat, you have to make a decision.

2) Fat loss workouts
Focus on big muscles groups. The more muscles you use in an exercise, the more intense your session will be. And if you don’t know by now, intensity is the key.

3) Abs specific exercises
Then you can focus on exercises that will increase the strength of your mid section. You have to be around 10% body fat before you can start to see definition in your abs. So you need to put a lot of focus on step 1 and 2.
