Do you like simple workouts? I do.Even as a personal trainer, I never went for the gimmicks. Always the basics. Master those first and you’ll reap great rewards.
You probably know this, my 2 favorites are squats and push ups. These basic moves are versatile and adaptable to any fitness level. You can start with partial moves and improve to 1-leg squat and 1-arm push up. You could get leaner and stronger just doing this
So here is a workout that will improve your muscular endurance and your cardiovascular fitness. If you do it right, all of your muscles will burn and you’ll be short of breath.
Start by doing 1 squat followed by 10 push ups. Then you do 2 squats and 9 push ups. All the way down to 10 squats and 1 push ups. You do a total of 11 reps per set. Finish it as fast as possible and keep track of your time. It will give you something to shoot for next workout.
Squat 1 2 3 … 10
Push up 10 9 8 … 1
If this is too easy, do Jump Squat. You can also do Power Push ups. Adapt the movements to your fitness level. Make sure you get a challenge from it. This simple no equipment workout can bring great results for anybody. If it is done with intensity.
