If your knees hurt, you are doing it wrong

Are you one of those people that say “I can’t do squats because my knees hurt”? If you do, I’m assuming that you will spend the rest of your days standing up. Because sitting down is a squat.

I used to train this lady that had very painful knees. So bad she had a hard time walking. During the evaluation, I asked her to sit down on a bench. She was in pain through the whole movement. And she was putting her weight on the ball of her feet.

Quick fix
When she understood how to use her hips and put her weight on her heel, it was like magic. She said that pain had gone away 50%. Much better solution than popping Tylenols.

So take time to learn how to use your body properly. It will keep your joints healthy for a long time.
