Does personal training make a difference?

A study investigated the influence of supervision during training sessions on performance. The participants have been lifting weights for 1-2 yrs and were assigned to the supervised or unsupervised group. Both groups went through a 12-week periodized strength training program. At the end of the program, the supervised group enjoyed greater improvements than the unsupervised group. This shows that most people can benefit from the services of a personal trainer.
