Why do you want to achieve your goals?

As we are approaching the mid-point of 2011, are you half way to your fitness goals? Are you the kind of person that makes resolutions and drop them by January 3? Well, you are not the only one. And there’s one main reason why people fail.

Resolutions are made because it sounds like the right thing to do. New Year, New You. You want to be a better person. But why do we only make them at the beginning of the year? Why not monthly or weekly? 52 smaller resolutions would probably be easier to keep.

So what is the solution to a lack of motivation? You just need to ask yourself one question. Why? Keep asking why until you get the real reason why you want to achieve your goals. When you get that answer, it will be a lot easier to wake up and exercise. Easier to say no to the donuts. And easier to stay focus because you know why you are doing this. And make it incremental by changing little things every week.

Are you ready to get started first week of July? A long weekend is no excuse to back out.
