Which training link do you neglect?

Training success is the result of a chain of events. The chain has to be respected. Otherwise progress will be stopped. That cascade of events starts with a workout. The workout should be intense enough to create a training stimulus. Basically it should be hard enough to fatigue the muscles. Your body will not change unless it is stimulated to do so.

The next chain link is what most trainees neglect. And it is called recovery. Your body adapts to the training stimulus while it is at rest. You may look bigger after the workout. That is just blood rushing to the muscle. It will only get bigger and stronger after full recovery. And that includes proper eating and enough rest.

The third step is often overlooked. That is the reason why some gym rats repeat the same workout and fail to get better. They do not adjust the workouts. If the first 2 steps were done properly, your body should be ready to work harder. That means your workouts never get easier. They are always a challenge.
