I’ve been reading Muscle Logic by Charles Staley. Very
interesting stuff. He has a different approach to training. One thing I don’t
agree with is that he discredits bodyweight exercises like the push up when it
comes to building strength. I know it is a bit limiting but one thing I know,
until you can bang reps on the 1-arm push up, there’s a lot of work to be done.
I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again. The equipment
doesn’t make the exercise session, you do. Your willingness to find ways to
challenge yourself is the key. Toys are nice but not essential.
