Sorry for the long delay between posts. First I was sick and I was away with no computer. But this time away gave me a chance to think about my training program. Especially when it comes to building muscle.
You see, most articles will tell you that the time under contraction for hypertrophy is between 30 and 70 seconds. This is the time for a full set of 6-12 reps. So, I started to perform static holds at the hardest angle and trying to reach 70 seconds. But by putting some thought about it, I found that I was very wrong.
Can you spot the mistake? If you do, it will make a big difference to your hypertrophy program.
