The 5 minute challenges

I always try to figure out new ways to challenge myself when I workout at home. And I like to keep it simple, so I use as little equipment as possible. So here is one thing I've been trying recently. I pick one exercise, like a push up, and I do as many reps as I can in 5 minutes. During those 5 minutes, you have 2 objectives. You want to complete as many reps on your first set and gradually do more from week-to-week. But you also want to perform a higher total.

Example

Week 1: 32+15+12+8+5+2+2 = 76
Week 2: 33+15+12+8+6+2+2 =78

There's no set rest time in between. You manage your fatigue accordingly. You can use the same approach for other exercises.
