Certain magazine articles don’t make sense. You read and re-read and you still don’t get it. But sometimes, it’s just confusing. Especially the ones about fitness.
I’ve been reading Men’s Health for a few years. They always have great articles on a variety of subjects. But how many ways can you find to get in shape? At the end of the day, you reap what you sow. Your results come from your efforts and commitment.
Back to this article about muscle building myths in the latest issue of Men’s Health. On the same page, they say that a new study reports that you can build muscle with reps up to 30. No surprises here if you work your muscles hard, they will grow. And at the bottom of the page they say that using your bodyweight is not enough to build muscle. What?
Well my friend, if you can do 30 X 1-leg squats in a row, congrats. And let me know when you can squeeze 30 X 1 arm push ups. You will be in a class of your own. I wonder how many pencil pushers at Men’s Health can even do a single full 1-leg squat?
